On Saturday there is the Provincial Crit championship - it is not free but you may be crowned Provincial Champion.

If crits are not your thing some of us are going to Grand Beach to get the course ready for mountain bike provincials. If you feel like helping send Halberto an email.

If Road is your thing tomorrow is yet another Tuesday Night Crit, details here. If not, some of us will be out grooming the trails for the Wednesday Night Race. In the past this endeavour has been fraught with peril and serious consequences. How? you may ask. Well insufficient protective clothing

and using weed wackers to clean the trail resulted in poison ivy so bad that pictures of our conditions were seriously being considered for the medical journal Annals of Dermatology. To try and avoid this the OCC has purchased two of these babies

These should be better for mowing the trails - much less of the poison ivy shower one gets from weed wackers. Any ways, following tomorrow’s match between the Netherlands and Uruguay I’m off to Bur Oak to work on the trails - if you have time and the inclination you’re welcome to come and join the fun.

Wednesday - well that’s race race night at Bur Oak.

Sunday - MB Cup #5 and last in of the season before the Provincials. This is in Swan River, a long drive, but well worth it. Who’s in?

Wednesday we made good on Lindsay’s Spring Cleaning project, or at leas half it. Here is how Tommy describes it…

Geez you missed a Great time! Kinda like doing a couple hours of community service. Lindsay Ian John Vern Danny me and  a very dead Bambi. I tried to get Lindsay to put that dead deer in the back of his van, but he wasn’t keen., and Scot was none too happy when I filled his dumpster behind the store. Kiss my discount goodbye! (He needs a bigger one. Dumpster that is…..)

Saturday, April 17th there is a trail prep and clean up at Bur Oak - what time? Comment and let’s see what works for the most people.

Sunday, April 18th - Grand Beach (this time I’m going to make sure my chain ring bolts are tight). Ride, map, decide a course, look at the new proposed kids course - again, what time, let us know by comment.

Spring Cleaning - every year Lindsay goes out and cleans up a section of Roblin. He always threatens to let us know when he is going to do this so we can join him, but then ends up going out on his own and telling us later that it had been done. Maybe this year we can join him, after all, he’s been slowed by his recent shoulder surgery (do we really think this is going to slow him down???) We’re looking at Wednesday, April 21 as an evening to do this. Let Lindsay know. There was talk of going out for pizza later. Lindsay will walk out there to meet us.
