A Birch of a time

No Morden race sent a bunch of us to Birch in search of trails to ride. Rob and Janice Brigden, Dave D, Seema, Greg S, Ron K, Dons Sissons, Cory, Tomek, Josh and Hal found some trails…and then some. 32km, 1062 meters of climbing, 1805 calories burned, a death march through a tilled field that - went - on - forever, crossing a swollen creek across the top of a beaver dam all equaled good times, loathing of one’s fitness and fun with friends.

don-and-robdon and rob talking about the advantages of being 50 and kicking younger ass because of it (well that and that they are freakishly talented riders and nice guys to boot)

From Morden

Spent the night in Morden following Birch. Its not raining as I write this post. Skies are overcast, could be worth the risk… Will not be doing the Lake tail as it is quite muddy following the 1″ of rain from Saturday night.

Questions?

Saturday is the new Tuesday

saturday-coffee-ride

If Tuesday night rides are too late for you, maybe Saturday mornings are more your speed. Meet at Old Colin’s @ 9:00AM.

This ride does not involve any racing, just a moderately paced ride in search of a good cup of coffee and maybe a croissant.

Back to our regularly scheduled program…

Two MCA meetings in one week is enough, time to get back to stuff that matters. The weather is not holding a lot of promise for this weekend, but plans for a Morden/Tinker ride are in the works. Looking to do the ride on Monday starting at 10:00 from Morden. Details are still be worked out so stay tuned.
