The traditional first race of the Manitoba mountain bike racing season.

It will either be in the single digits or in the twenties, we’ve had it all at this race, sunburns to racing in the snow. Whatever the temperatures the race is always boasts one of the largest fields of the year.

This is the first Cup race of the season, if you are ready to go it is a great way to get some valuable points early on.

The next Olympia Cycling Club meeting tentatively set for March 17th, 6:00 - 9:00 pm and will be held at Olympia Cycle and Ski. It’s a casual come-and-go meeting where you can share thoughts, try on team clothes and order if you wish, and more.

It’s Back! Reach the Beach MTB Enduro from Beausejour to Grand Beach.

Costs: $35 before June 27th, $45 after June 27th.

Time: Sign-in begins at 7:30, race starts at 8:30

Location: Beausejour to Grand Beach Provincial Park (more details to come)

Things you need to know:

• You need to find your own ride to Beausejour and you need to have some pick you up at Grand Beach to bring you home.
• There will be two aid stations along the route where you will be able to get water and snacks.
• You will be riding on all types of terrain: sand, gravel roads, trails, and through water (you will get your feet wet). Mountain bikes work best.
• Don’t ride naked - and what we mean by naked is make sure you have spare tubes and tools
• Carry extra water bottles
• This is a fundraiser for the Borders to Beaches trail project, part of your entry fee will be going towards that - if you want to kick in more, cool.

You must have you MCA license with you at sign in, to be allowed to race.
