Mountain bike ride this Friday at Grand Beach. Kevin B was there last Friday and said that the trails were still 80% covered in snow. The temps this week should hopefully fix that. Leave the city around 12:00ish.

I love me my prairies. Great day: 75 kms of riding, great weather, gravel, dirt, soft dirt, soul-sucking even softer dirt (just ask Josh and Luc), a little pavement, sun, discussions - fun times.
On the ride: Luc, Josh, the Cricket, Marty, Tristan, Halberto, a fixie, a singie speed winter comuter, a mountain bike, and three cross bikes.
The route went something like this.

Where to ride this week? - a road ride at Birds Hill, a gravel ride to Lido Plage (St Francis Xavier, Roblin and such), or maybe some hill climbs in the Pembina Hills a.k.a. Windy Gates (also gravel with some road)?

Received an email from John Hawranik who was on the Grand Beach trails last week, he thinks by next weekend the trails will be ready, if the weather hold. So is it Birds Hill (road) or Bur Oak this week?
