last race of the season
no time to reflect - it is on to the next race
Race Details:
This is it; the season is coming to an end. While there are still some points up for grabs, we are planning to have some fun with this one. Not only will there be the usual race, we’re throwing in a poker derby just to spice it up a bit. Collect the best combination of cards and win a prize. And for those with an artistic bent, there will be an optional haiku race as well; create a haiku based on a mystery theme and put yourself in line for another great prize. What is a haiku? It is a short 3 line poem based on a scheme of 5 syllables, 7 syllables, and 5 syllables (rules below). If you want to see an example of a Haiku go this man’s page.

You have the remainder of the race to come up with a haiku based on that word or image. Write down your haiku within 15 minutes of the completion of your race (we’ll check this) and submit it to the race organizer. The race organizer will read the submitted haikus anonymously at the awards - the one receiving the loudest cheer wins. Paper and pens will be provided. Haikus not following the 5-7-5 syllable scheme will be eliminated.
