The race is on and it will be a good one. Here are some details:

Date: Sunday August 1, 2010

Location: The race start finish is located at the community centre in Stead Manitoba.

Drive North on Highway 59 towards Grand Beach and proceed to Stead. You can also go further up 59 and turn right on highway 304, follow the signs to Stead.

Registration: Register online or drop off an entry and waiver form at Olympia Cycle and Ski, 1813 Portage Avenue, accompanied with cash or a cheque (no credit card or debit will be accepted at the store for this event).

Ages: 15+ as of December 31, 2010

Distances: 33 km (1 lap), 66 km (2 laps), 100 km (3 laps)

Start times: 9:00 AM for the 3 lap, 10:00 AM for the 2 lap, 11:00 AM for the 1 lap

Costs: $40, includes food ticket and hat

Other information:

Cut off times for the 2 and 3 lap race will be enforced, you will not be permitted to start your last lap after 1:00 pm. The 100 km race is intended for strong and experienced cyclists.

Food tickets for spectators and family members can be purchased for $10 by Friday, July 30, 2010 - no food will be available for sale at the race site without a pre-puchased food ticket.
